Lock down is going to impose for the next ten days due to rising the numbers of Covid-19 pandemic patients. It is an announcement by the Maharashtra government on Friday to break the chain of spreading the coronavirus in the community, excepting essential services like dairy, medical shops, and hospitals all are going to shut from 13 to 23 July. Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and neighbouring district area will be under lockdown.
According to the State health department, the one thousand eight hundred and three (1803) numbers of Covid -19 patients were reported positive in District, thirty-four thousand three hundred and ninety-nine (34399) are the total toll of infected person by Covid-19. Mortality is also rising by coronavirus pandemic. Mr Deepak Mhaisekar, who is commissioner of Pune divisional has given strict instruction to all. Total there are twenty-two villages in rural parts of Pune region, and lock down is going to impose for the next ten days.
Pune district collector Mr. naval Kishore ram said that due to unlock of phase, many people have observed, roaming out their homes without necessary, thereby the infection is rising more and people are infecting lot. He said that just to control this rising of corona virus cases toll this decision has been taken. The people are not going at the hospital for the treatment unless they are reaching at high stage, therefor death toll is rising, and becoming difficult to detect the infected. Over on this as a measure, Indian medical association of Maharashtra requested the state government to permit authority the registered microbiologists and pathologists to do antigen test. With the conduct of antigen tests, this test makes easy and takes less time to detect the Covid-19 patients, and it gives result in thirty minutes. Two lakhs thirty thousand five hundred and ninety-nine (230599) positive cases reported so far in Maharashtra by corona virus pandemic.
- The lock down will be strict with following all norms.
- Containment area will also be under corona virus.
- Medical stores will be open with all norms of pandemic.
- Dairy will remain open with social distancing.
- Hospitals will be open.
